Whenever humans have more disposable incomes and fewer working hours they will find leisure activities which are fun and help them forget the hurdles and stressful moments that they encounter in their daily activities.
The key here is an activity which can help rejuvenate the body and mind of an individual. A person may decide to play a video game at home but that can’t bring maximum joy and satisfaction because humans are social creatures and extreme fun is brought by sharing the happiness with others.
For a family parent, the joy of the family is when they can be together in sharing fun times and happy moments; a worker would be happy being with other worker and getting along while having free time to share. The same is true for students and other school kids.
There are many recreational activities which such groups of people could partake and ones which have stood the test of times for ages in bringing families; friends, co-workers, students etc. together are the visiting of parks.
There are various types of parks all which are designed to offer recreation such as:
- Amusement Parks
- Regional Parks
- Theme Parks
- Fun Fairs
- Pleasure Gardens
- Carnivals, etc
There some activities which are common in these different types of parks such as riding roller coasters & carousels, acrobatics, shows & performances by artistes, train rides, shoot-the-chute etc. All these recreational activities are aimed at uniting people while having fun and reducing some weight at the same time.
Thus today they form part of tourism have some have become travel destinations for people all over the world e.g. Luna Park, Disney World, Holiday World, Happy Valley Parks, Europa Parks, etc.
Previously the site was established by for Parc James which is a recreational park in Quebec, Canada. Now, the site has various content about fun recreational parks and the gimmicks that go on in these places.
Let me start by being honest with you; I never use to like visiting parks for a family outing. I never lie and my wife Melanie and my two kids Chloe and Cameron can attest to this. But the problem is, my wife has a tendency of dragging me into things I never like and at last I end up becoming obsessed with them. My wife now drags me into anything by saying if I liked the last one this one will be better. This story is not about my wife; rather it is a family day at a theme park that I never approved at first. The kids and their mum voted against me and I had to come along.
It was one of the weekends in August this year. My wife said we needed a family time together and she suggested we visit the public park located in Vaughan, Ontario, called Canada’s Wonderland. It was the same day that the city’s breast cancer foundation was holding a fundraiser to support its cause. What I’m saying is I had no reason not to go for the outing since I claimed to be a strong supporter of the fight against breast cancer.
My wife would have called me a hypocrite and this would have caused a tension I would never wanted because the last time we had a small disagreement she threatened to file a divorce (she loves me, she can never leave but I never want to upset her). In addition, I was putting on a few body pounds and a walk to the park would be good for my lose weight program. So the Marks’ went out for the family day out.
As I said earlier, we walked to the part since my wife says she never wants our kids to be as fat as their dad. She says this as if I’m not doing anything about it. In fact I have already lost 20 pounds but she never notices. After 30 minutes of walking, we made our entry into the park. There were all sorts of people doing different fun activities. All over a sudden I felt like I wanted this and made huge paces towards the ride bikes at one of the corners of the park. The kids too made a rush for the bikes.
Cameron was the first to grab a bike, Chloe beat me too but they waited till I got one and we raced together. Melanie was never a fan of bike riding and I knew where we would find her. We rode to other end of the park and back. Cameron beat me but I rode hard enough to beat Chloe otherwise I would become the laughing topic once we get home. Cameron is only 12 years old but he really gives me a thrashing when it comes to speed things but he is never better in class than I was.
We found Melanie at temporary Animal Park. She is passionate about the wildlife and she always blames her parents for not letting her pursue her passion and study an animal-related course. Theirs was a law family and she had to keep the tradition. In any way I would have never met if she chose some other course. After spending a few minutes at the animal place, we convinced her that we go for a family thrill ride. She obliged since the kids wanted us all. As we flew high and low in the thrill mill, I imagined what I would have missed if I never came.
From the thrill ride we went to the breast cancer foundation tent and made our donations. It got better as we interacted with some of the women who had made fully recovery as they shared their stories. After some interacting moments, we made our way to the makeshift dining places in the park. My wife is very cautious of my weight loss so she picked my food order but let the kid choose what they were wanted.
After eating, we went to the live performance corner where the city’s top performers were entertaining the crowd. I danced to a few rap songs (I love hip hop) as my wife and kids joked of how bad a dancer I was. By the time we got home, I was tired but I was keen to promise them another family day out to the park, same one or not.
